One of the best ways to grow as an educator is to reflect back on your year and see what worked and what didn't. I always sent out an end of the year survey to my parents where they could anonymously give feedback on the year. I found it really helpful to guide me for the upcoming year. {If anyone is interested I would be happy to pass along the questions I sent.} Here are 18 questions {from this website} to discuss about your year and see what ideas you may want to add/change/remove for next year. What knowledge did you gain by doing this reflection? Any great "A-ha" moments to share?

It was nice to discuss successes with the other teachers and reflect on things from the year.

I really enjoyed hearing about some of the things that different teachers noted about changes they had seen in their students. It was an aha moment to hear how some of the least likely students made the biggest gains. Sometimes we overlook the progress students have made because it was so difficult to get them there. 8/3/2022 03:33:00 pm
